Ancille was over 70 when she joined her self-help group, and struggling with at least three health issues. Her age has limited what she can do for income, but her self-help group helps her with ideas for making a little extra money, from weaving grass mats (she had to give that up) to raising rabbits for sale. Despite these difficulties, Ancille is very happy. She knows that now she has women around her to help and support her in her old age. Her most frequent response when asked about her self-help group is "my heart is now full of joy."
