Ethiopia Food Security - moringa distribution

After severe drought in the South Omo region of Ethiopia, the Hamer people lost much of their livestock. The Austrian Red Cross partnered with the Ethiopian Red Cross to distribute seedlings of the drought resistant moringa tree. The seeds from the mature tree can be used for food, even making an emergency substitute baby food. Excess seeds can be sold as a cash crop.
