Dr Savita and the Shalom Delhi Hospital provides palliative care to some of the most marginalised of New Delhi's population. Transgender, sex workers, and intravenous drug users. Dr. Savita's work is motivated from a deep personal conviction that "to live deeply, you must be deeply involved in the lives of others." She sees palliative care not as end of life care, but enabling people with a life limiting illness to live as long and well as possible,
